What this site is
EAA supplements are sold with a lot of big promises. We built this site to explain what essential amino acids are, what the research actually measured, and how to read a label, so you can decide whether a supplement makes sense for you.
How we choose
We have not tested these products ourselves. Nothing on this site claims hands-on testing, tasting, lab analysis or scores of our own. Instead:
- Research first. Claims about what EAAs may do come from peer-reviewed studies and position stands, linked on each page, usually to PubMed. We describe the study size and design when it matters, and we say "may" and "research suggests" because single studies are not proof.
- Labels come from the label. Grams per serving and certifications come from the brand's own page or a retailer listing that reproduces the supplement facts panel. Where sources disagree, we say so or leave the number out.
- Brand claims are labeled as claims. When a brand says something we could not check independently, we say that it is the brand's claim.
- No disease claims. We only describe what studies measured, in structure and function terms, and every page carries the FDA disclaimer.
- No reviews, ratings or prices. We publish no star ratings, customer reviews or scores, and we do not show Amazon prices.
- Your doctor comes first. Every guide points people who are pregnant or nursing, have kidney or liver conditions, or take medication to their doctor.
How the site earns
Some links go to Amazon with our affiliate tag. If you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never decides what we cover or how. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
Not medical advice
This site is general information. It is not medical, nutritional or professional advice, and it does not replace a conversation with your doctor, pharmacist or a registered dietitian.
Corrections
Formulas change and research moves on. We review pages regularly and each page shows when it was last reviewed.
